CELLARPERSON

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Atlanta Brewing Company is looking for an enthusiastic and hard working person to fill the role of Cellar Person. We are looking for someone who is driven, a good team member, and able to learn quickly to join our close knit team. This is a full time, hourly role that reports M-F at 7AM to our brewing facility in West Midtown area of Atlanta.

This is the perfect introductory role to craft beer for the right candidate. We are looking for a positive, good communicator and team player who is self-driven and willing to give consistent effort. The Cellar Person is responsible for tasks involving the packaging and kegging of beer, CIP procedures, brewhouse operation, forklift operation, staging orders, warehousing, loading and unloading trucks, and general cleanliness and organization of the brewery.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform transfers through the centrifuge
  • Dry hopping beers
  • Monitor fermentation temperatures and crash beers before transferring
  • Cleaning and sanitizing tanks and cellar equipment
  • Assist with all areas of production including canning, kegging, loading and unloading of trucks
  • Maintaining accurate and legible records of gravity and pH readings
  • Inventory management of all packaging materials including boxes, trays, cans, lids, kegs, caps, collars, and returns of crown pallets and layer separators
  • Facilitate communication between hot side and packaging regarding pack out schedules, movement schedules, etc.
  • Direct supervisor and point person for all packaging work, build schedule for packaging team
  • Keep brewery floor and walk in cooler organized and clean
  • Physical Inventory of brewed sub-blends and packaging materials
  • Be able to lift 75lbs, handle rigors of a physical workday including standing all day
  • Other duties as assigned

LEAD BREWER

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Atlanta Brewing Company is looking for an enthusiastic and hard working person to fill the role of Lead Brewer. We are looking for someone who is driven, a good team member, and able to learn quickly to join our close knit team. This is a full time, hourly role that reports M-F at 7AM to our brewing facility in West Midtown area of Atlanta.

We are looking for a positive, good communicator and team player who is self-driven and willing to give consistent effort. The Lead Brewer is responsible for tasks involving the packaging and kegging of beer, CIP procedures, brewhouse operation, forklift operation, staging orders, warehousing, loading and unloading trucks, and general cleanliness and organization of the brewery.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for day-to-day of the brewhouse including: brewing, milling grain, water management, yeast handling, cleaning, and brewhouse maintenance
  • Record require brewhouse information consistently and accurately to ensure consistent
  • Maintain inventory of ingredients, order ingredients based on 8-week production scheduling needs
  • CIP brewhouse, fermentation vessels, and brite tanks
  • Facility management of all hot side related equipment: grain silo, weigh station, mill area, grain receiving, auger chain and motor, grist case, tri-blender, brewhouse, boiler, HX, brewers hosing, hardware, etc.
  • Order all brewery equipment including replacement parts, hosing, gaskets, etc.
  • Manage vendor relationships for raw materials, brewery equipment, etc.
  • Maintain an inventory of equipment parts, and ensure re-stocking when necessary
  • Manage brewery waste, and coordinate pick up recycling and trash
  • Preventative maintenance scheduling, heavy equipment charging, and trouble shooting.
  • Collect documentation for all deliveries and shipments, and verify quantity and quality for all deliveries
  • Help maintain a clean and safe brewery environment to ensure safe working conditions and a positive tour experience for our guests
  • Communicate any brew process issues or concerns in a timely manner to upper management in a timely manner to ensure quick resolution of any issues
  • Train staff for use of all heavy equipment (fork lift, hog, etc.)
  • Be able to lift 75 lbs, handle rigors of a physical workday including standing all day
  • Other duties as assigned

PRODUCTION MANAGER

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

– Production Scheduling – Work with brewers, sales/operations to schedule brews, cellar movements, and pack out plans. Schedule staffing of production team to meet production requirements. Batch and yield reporting

– Government Compliance – Responsible for government compliance. TTB reporting, brewers report of operations, waste water compliance, etc

– Inventory Procurement and Finished Goods Management – Responsible for on-time delivery of all production needs including: cans, bottles, packaging, CO2, etc. Physical inventory counts, managing vendor relationships boxes, trays, cans, lids, kegs, caps, collars, and returns of pallets and layer separators

– Shipping / Receiving – Responsible for shipping and receiving of finished goods and brewery supplies. Ensure proper documentation, quantities and quality

– Facility management – lead efforts to coordinate work and vendors to ensure the high quality operation of the physical plant

– Cooler organization and product rotation to avoid OOD issues in stock

– Ongoing analysis of yields and quality

– Maintain a clean and organized brewery environment

– Assist in maintaining our maintenance schedule and preventative maintenance requirements

– Maintain a positive and productive work environment for entire production staff

– Part time cellar work as scheduled including: transfers, CIP, SIP, fermentation management, packaging assistance

– Assist with all areas of production including canning, kegging, loading and unloading of trucks

– Direct supervisor and point person for all packaging work, build schedule for packaging team with Head Brewer

– Coordinate with Head Brewer for managing inventory of brewery chemicals, and maintenance of all SDS/TDS documents relating to chemicals

– Collaborate with Head Brewer on cellar SOP development

– Collaborate with Head Brewer on preventative maintenance schedule

– Oversee and assign staff for facilities management in coordination w/ Head Brewer: PM schedule, effluent cleaning, etc

Skills / Qualifications:

At least three years working in a production brewery preferred

– Positive Attitude – Ability to maintain a positive attitude and positive outlook

– Leadership Skills – Provide leadership and maintain a positive and productive work environment

– Time Management – Ability to manage time and priorities to effectively execute job responsibilities and provide feedback to help the company grow and improve

PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN / ASSISTANT BREWER

We are looking for someone who is driven, a good team member, and able to learn quickly to join our close knit team.  This is a full time, hourly role that reports M-F at 7AM to our brewing facility in West Midtown area of Atlanta.

The Production Technician/Assistant Brewer is responsible for tasks involving the packaging and kegging of beer, CIP procedures, brewhouse operation, forklift operation, staging orders, warehousing, loading and unloading trucks, and general cleanliness and organization of the brewery. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operation of canning line, and all packaging equipment
  • Brewhouse operation
  • Keg washing and filling
  • Attention to can Quality Assurance including fill-height, dissolved oxygen levels, and seaming standards.
  • CIP/SIP on all canning line equipment
  • Perform maintenance and repair tasks on canning line equipment as directed by supervisor
  • Build orders for shipment
  • Keep brewery floor and walk in cooler organized and clean
  • Loading and unloading trucks
  • Physical Inventory of packaging materials
  • Be able to lift 75lbs, handle rigors of a physical workday including standing all day
  • Other duties as assigned
